Percy is free fromTartarus, but he has taken many scars with him, and not just physical ones. The one that haunts him most is Annabeth's face right before he was saved, right before he lost her. But Annabeth is alive, and Percy is determined to get her back, no matter the cost. With Thalia and Grover, the two demigods who have been with him since the beginning, he ventures on a quest to save Annabeth from Gaea's clutches. But can he really do it? Or will the pain be too much for him to handle?

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the Percy Jackson stuff.

Spoiler: A lot of Trials of Apollo events are valid in this book.

Blood Warning: Maybe not as much as the first one, but there is still blood and gore, so I still feel obliged to put this in here. This is not a series for the feint of heart.

If you haven't yet, go read the first one! The first half was written by @Ashkey06. I wrote from chapter 8. Enjoy!

17 parts Complete

"I would hope he has enough sympathy in his selfish body to not put another child through what I had to grow up with." _ Arya will go down in history, for nothing more, than her lack of fear in voicing her not so grand opinion of the gods. She has gone years feeling nothing but rage, resentment, and bitterness for the turn her life has taken. She expects nothing about it to deviate anytime soon. When Percy Jackson enters camp for the first time, the sense of normalcy she is so used too starts to change, the balance of the world starts to shift, and all Arya wants to do is keep is keep those she cares about safe. _ ~ Book 1: Head Above Water Series ~ Follows The Lightning Thief
