With each new child is a new soulmate. Every wizard and their soulmate (if muggle) has a soulmate, a destined life long partner. When a child is born their soulmate is known by their name and status inked on the babies wrist. Unlike the muggle world where you are judged for being homosexual and such, the wizarding world accepts it. A soulmate is destined and can not be changed so there is no point. Dear Hermione, Ron and well everyone, Someone once told me that the universe was larger and more unexpected than we could ever imagine. Until now, I never knew what they meant. If you are reading this, I somehow managed to get this to you, Hermione- the headmaster here believes I have gone into a different universe.
