This is the first chapter of a multi-POV story I'm working on. I'm posting mostly to just get some feedback and see if this is a story people would be interested in reading!
Empress Bellona Irata is the proud young ruler of the Iratem Empire. Along with her title, she inherited a galactic war and a crushing legacy of expectation. Determined to annihilate the rival Somnus Empire, Bellona must confront her own demons- and her complicated feeling for her enemy, Pax Somni.
Emperor Pax Somni is happy to admit that he hates the war he fights and that he is in love with Bellona. Unfortunately, compromise and peace don't seem to be an option. With other empires looking to devour his own rapidly weakening empire, Pax must find a solution to his problems- and his seemingly impossible chances at love.
