After her crush friend-zoned her, Maddie - an anti-social girl with a weird sense of humour - had no choice but to order a prom date from a suspicious website she came across with. However, Jace - a straight-out-of-a-magazine guy with unbelievable acting skills - showed up as a replacement at her front door 45 days earlier at the worst time possible! Deciding to spend the next month and a half together, Jace becomes confused as to why Maddie was immune to his charms. Meanwhile, she struggles to convince herself that she isn't attracted to him at all. Just when she thought she had him figured out, she began discovering things about him that made her question his real identity. Is Jace really just a temporary boyfriend or did he confront Maddie for something else? Will people believe that they are a 'real' couple despite all their differences, or will it backfire and end up being another humiliation? Only 45 days. What could possibly go wrong?

Evie was the wild child of the bunch. She was always everywhere and doing everything, all so she could pour it into her writing. Being a writer was the dream she held since she was a child, but to be the best, she needed to make a name for herself. However the local scholarships were not enough to cover the costs of attending her dream school. Evie was determined to find a way to pay for her education, but she was running out of options. That was, until West came back. West was a childhood friend. They used to play together when they were kids, but as they grew older, they drifted apart and lost touch. It's been a couple of years since they had last seen each other, and when West randomly needed to stay at Evie's house for a few weeks, she wasn't sure what to expect. They each needed a plan to get what they wanted, and they each had what the other needed. It seemed like a win-win situation for both of them. Or so they thought that is until a an old fling reappears that could jeopardizes their deal. Will they be able to keep love out of this story?
