From the moment Bellatora Scorpus set her hazel eyes on Hogwarts, she knew what she had to do: spy on and discover Dumbledore's most hidden affairs. Or, at least, she had to do what her death-eater parents expected of her. Determined to save face, Bellatora immediately put up a mean front. Plans changed when she got a warm welcome from Gryffindor and not Slytherin, the house her entire family had been in for generations. Bellatora learned to use this fate to her advantage, but she couldn't help but ponder the sorting hat's decision. However, her streamlined focus blurred when handsome Hufflepuff Cedric Diggory introduced himself into her life: her motives began to change. Cedric too was introduced to the world of spying through his father and ministry connections.

After making a significant discovery, Bellatora is forced to choose where her loyalties lie, and as the line between good and evil blurs, Cedric is forced to make a fateful decision.
