Destiny Phillips is dreading her eighteenth birthday because as a shifter, she must join the 'Mating Chase'. It has been a tradition for hundreds of years, the Male that can catch a Female, claims her as his mate. The stronger the Female, the better the chase. Destiny wishes things were like all the books she read were your mate is made just for you and when you meet them, it's love at first sight. Unfortunately, this is real life and you are stuck with whoever catches you first. Her parents have trained her all of her life to be strong, her father is a pack warrior and one of the toughest wolves there is. Some say he is even stronger than the Alpha. Unfortunately, the 'Mating Chase' is open to all shifters and she could get stuck with anything, fox, wolf, bear, anything. That's what scares her the most.
