Both Anti and Chase have fallen into depression. When someone goes on a demonic killing spree, the blame is put on the only possible culprit, Anti. They want to put him on death row for the chaos and arson he'd been previously charged with.
None of the egos really want to get into a court case.

Not only was he welcomed with open arms by his two mothers, but he was also met with the arms of two men he had a mutual fondness for: Riley Worthright and Xavier Mendoza. He was on top of the world, and his not-so-gentle past wouldn't change that. Neither would Tycho Black, the aggressive bully on campus, who seemed to get off on being a homophobic a-hole.

Along the way, they find a circus. After the show Anti planned to leave right away with Light, until an 'accident' happened. Having to pay up for his actions and anger, Anti and Light are staying for a while. After a while Anti finds someone, that was able to steal his heart, but the problem is.
