"Kait?" I ask, terrified of what I might've just walked into. As soon as I say it, an army of men comes to light. All of them were wearing black robes. 

I started backing away, away from the fire, away from the men and away from Kait, but it was to no avail. There was nowhere I could go. The door through which we had entered was practically invisible.

"STOP!" I yell as they reach halfway across the room. 

Surprisingly, they stop. They stop and drop to their knees as if injured by my voice. No, not hurt; they were bowing. All on their knees.

Kait before them and half bows, "I'm afraid it's time to take you back, princess."

He kept on staring at me but I ignored him, at least I tried to. He was sitting right beside me and although I was looking at the board I still could glimpse his form facing me, he seemed to be looking at my lips. I wasn't able to take it any more. I slowly turned to him, he was indeed staring at my lips. "What??" I ask feeling self cautious as I fought the thought of wiping off my mouth. He slowly licked his lips and said, " nothing" as he shook his head " your lips ... they just look so kissable" he added slowly and calmly after a while causing my heart to overreact, my eyes went wide and my mouth to turn into a forbidden smile. "What?" I asked as I tried to give him a weird look but I couldn't stop smiling, the forbidden smile seemed to be taking over my entire face, slowly but surely. This book is in the point of view (P.O.V) of the main character (first person) with an exception of chapter 1 which is told by the narrator (second person) { Book 2 - Revealing Secrets https://my.w.tt/bF5lujvGo2 } When this book was reviewed by yours truly it was summed up to 50 chapters. Sorry if you find some of the chapters a bit too short . Lol.

And if it wasn't obvious I am here to take you to the alpha. You are a rogue after all." The guy says behind me in a tone that makes me want to run from him but punch him at the same time. "But anyway before you get any ideas...This is going to make it easier to carry you without you struggling." He says then injects me with something that burns in my blood stream. BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.
