Her once blissful self had faded, now she was someone else, someone she couldn't recognise. She was a shell of the girl she used to be. No one knew what happened, what went on in her mind. But now, everyone had adapted to her neutral persona. She looked at the world as if it was bleak and grim. Her sleep deprived eyes were the result of the many nights she spent stuck in her head, enduring the torment of her mind. Her once bold fashion sense had turned into the now over abundant drab oversized hoodies and black skinny jeans. Her eccentric behaviour made everyone wonder why she lives in a world of her own, shutting everyone else out. She had been one known for living in a fantasy world. She would spend hours with her best friend writing and drawing to her hearts content, always sharing her art with the world. But one day, a drawing of hers fell to the ground, her best friend picked it up and was taken aback when she saw it. She had expected something enthralling and innovative but instead saw a broken broken heart, blood dripping as knives were deeply engraved on it as if a part of it. It was so realistic and dark, you could feel the emotions of pain and heartbreak clearly expressed. She was perplexed to say the least. After some time they took her to a therapist, weeks later they all found out, she had major depression. But why and how were the questions never answered.

Lost to the true definition of love, Brie meets Adrian, a man daring enough to love her though he knows it may not end well. She falls hard for him, her reality of love far greater than her fantasies, but when a familiar pain resurfaces in paradise, and she feels like she may be walking down memory lane, will she have it in her to fight? Or is the fear of going through anything that resembles her childhood greater than her dream to finally find love? Love meets reality in this epic novel. *** "Excuse me, you seem lost in thought. Did you want to buy something or do I need to direct you home again?" "What?" She laughs, "It was a joke, Jeez. The last time you were in here you seemed like you had a sense of humor. Where'd that go?" "I have this neighbor who basically sucks the life and humor out of people. Unfortunately, I am a recent victim." "I know how that feels, trust me. I have one in my life too." "Anyway, what can I do for you Mr. ..." "Please call me Adrian." "Okay Adrian, what can I do for you today?" "Actually, I was passing by, and I thought I should say thank you for the other day." "That's nice, but you didn't have to. I didn't really do anything a human being wouldn't." "Hey, don't sell yourself short. You did a lot for me. If you didn't save my ass, I may have been a missing person by now, or worse that guy on the news they keep saying is nowhere to be found." "How can I argue when you mentioned the guy on the news. The news never lies, and I'm sure you don't either. You're right, I should be thanked for saving a life." "Not just A life, but many lives. Think of my poor mother and my friends and family. How would they live without me, huh?" "You're right, I saved a generation that day." We're both laughing very hard and it feels just right. Talking to her was easy.

This world is huge and beautiful. Yet, it also has so many mystery in it. Still, I hate this world. For me, it's just a full pile of trash. Thousands of fake words exist in this world. Not just this world, but also the other worlds. Including mine. Oh what a piece of trash. So many hypocrites exist in this unpredictable huge galaxy. Like those people who supported you, then stabbed you from the back. Those who smiled this second, then spit out their bad words towards you in the next second. Those who were with you this minute, then dumped you like you're nothing, until your distance with them was like the Earth and the Moon, in the next minute. Those who protected you this hour, then tried to destroy you in the next hour. So...trash. What is family? They're nothing but the annoying people whom always tied me up to follow whatever they said. It's like I'm their pet, instead of their daughter who wished to be free. What is friend? They're no more than those who used you, then dumped you when you're no longer needed in this world. It's all Hell. Hell I say. I don't need family! Nor friends! Or even love, or anything in this awful place. I just wanted to be alone. Alone and free. Yes, your eyes were not wrong! I'm so sick, that I wanted to be all by myself for the rest of my life. Yet, why...is it so painful..to see them go? ***** She is pretty. With her glowing silver hair, she looked like the Princess who was blessed by the Moonlight. Her skin is as white as snow, yet pale like the corpses. Her eyes...are as red as blood. She fell to our world along with the falling meteor. She saw the beautiful earth along with the downfall of her kingdom. And when she started to stand on her own feet, she could never say the word 'Mom' and 'Dad' anymore. Born in the darkness, she came to destroy the peaceful Earth, along with all the living beings in it. But as time passed, as she met new people, it all began to change.

"At first, there was an unknown guy who I thought I liked, but I then realized Charles was the one I really can not let go of. Am I really attached to him more than a friend?" - Belle - Belle thought she was just another busy student helping with school events, printing IDs, organizing tasks, managing chaos with her friends in the English Department. But everything changed the moment she bumped into a mysterious guy with a blue-and-grey hawk backpack. Since then, her eyes unconsciously searched for him everywhere. She built quiet hopes around that fleeting encounter, thinking maybe... just maybe, something romantic would bloom. But while her eyes wander through crowds searching for that mystery, someone else never leaves her side: Charles. He's loud, clingy, annoyingly flirty, always grinning, always there, and her best friend. But when unexpected emotions surface, Belle begins to question everything. As the days pass, Belle begins to wonder if her heart had been chasing the wrong thing all along. Because sometimes, the person you're truly drawn to isn't the one who made your heart skip once, but the one who's been catching you every time you fall. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

"I think it's best we stay cordial while we're here. You know, avoid any awkwardness," I say, trying to sound casual. Jay leans against the doorframe, his eyes flickering with amusement as he watches me. "You want to be friends?" "No. I mean, not friends. Just civil," I answer, a little too quickly. "Okay. I can do civil," he says, his gaze never leaving mine like he is trying hard to read me. I look away, suddenly too exposed beneath his gaze. Damnit!This is going to be harder than I thought. - It was a moment. One that could have turned into something more.Until she walked away. Eight months later, Ira has to face him again. And this time, there's nowhere to run. Not for at least a week. After all, it's her best friend's wedding and he's invited too. So, she does what she's always done best-pretend. Pretend nothing happened. Pretend he didn't matter. Pretend her heart didn't skip a beat the second she saw him again. But Jay? He's not playing pretend. With that maddening smile and the kind of charm that should come with a warning, he's determined to remind her of everything she's tried to forget- even the years she's spent years mastering the art of detachment. He's the only one who's ever come close to reaching the version of her that she thought, she had buried long ago. And that's what makes him dangerous. Because she shouldn't return to who she was. She's ice. And he? He's the fire that never stopped burning. The real question is: Can she let his fire thaw the ice that's long been her shield?
