Why I Hate The Dark

This book is based on scary visions I, the writer, have been having at night. Should I consider it a fanfiction or just a plain horror story?
Sorry if it was rushed, it was my first time making a real actual scary story. It probably won't be a good one, but at least I tried.
Clyde is just a regular fan anything scary, but what happens when he sees something so horrifying one night he thought twice about what he thinks about anything scary?
