It's been a year or maybe two. Alexi can't remember how long its been any more. He's been tucked away in an abandoned storm cellar since a terrible disease struck the world. He has no idea if there's anyone else left around him, or at all really. Despite this he lives at least a semi-normal life and has carried on with his photography.
Though after being saved by an enchanting stranger he learns about a compound for survivors like them where normalcy would be easier. Though this so called 'sanctuary' gives Alexi the strangest feelings and the people running it are no better than what lurks outside the fences.
