"Need for Perfection" is a short story based on my personal experiences as a dancer. It follows Veronica, a sixteen-year-old dancer, through struggles with the pressure she puts on herself. No matter what she does, she is always unhappy with herself. Veronica begins to plummet further down this trap of anxiety and frustration, while those around her seem oblivious. She has an important audition only two months away, and she is becoming more and more plagued with self-consciousness.All Rights Reserved
