The Camera Girls

This story idea was born when my best friend and I were daydreaming about what it would be like to work behind the scenes at SMOSH. She wanted to be camera operators, but I said our cameras would always be pointed at our boys...it'd be the Damien and Shayne show every day. But that wouldn't be such a bad thing, now, would it? 😄

Then I had the idea to do it in the style of The Office...a sort of documentary being filmed about the everyday runnings of SMOSH...but the documentary crew discovers a better story behind the scenes. 😁 (If you haven't seen The Office, go watch it first and then come back)

Everything in italics is what we (the documentary crew) is seeing happen through our camera. There's usually no dialogue there.

This is a 2 person ReaderFic. 'Y/N(S)' is the Shayne-lover and 'Y/N(D)' loves Damien.

Disclaimers: 1) I have no idea what goes into filming and production at SMOSH, but I'm imagining the main characters using huge cameras on wheels that can move around to catch shots. 2) I had a really hard time figuring out what to call them...Cameramen, Camerawoman, Camerapeople?? I settled on Camerawomen in the story, but Camera Girls sounded cuter for the title. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3) I know cats on set is a BAD idea, but this is my fantasy world so shhhhhh!! 4) I'm sorry for all the Sage-bashing...I needed a villain and she just seemed to fit. 🙇‍♀️ 5) Finally, If either Shayne or Damien ever read this I will die of embarrassment!! I am so sorry!! 🙈
