"What?" I ask in question, accompanied by the sounds of waves crashing on the shore and the gentle breeze blowing past us.
He turns to my side placing one of his hands under his head to lay on it and laying the palm of his other hand on my cheeks, eyes burning into mine as his eyebrows furrowed in concentration for a fraction of a minute before a gentle smile tugged on his lips."Us" he takes a slight pause before continuing, "I never meant for us to happen."
