Christmas is coming in Trollstopia and it's gonna be full of surprises! Poppy and Branch are now married and have two twins - a boy and girl - whom they name Sapphire and Forest. And after learning about the magic Esmerald, Journey, and Ocean carry the twins - now four years old - set off to find their own magic with River and a few other friends. Esmerald, now happy again is looking forward to her and Journey's band performances until she learns that they've been cancelled due to the pandemic. To bring the trolls and humans closer, Poppy hosts a Secret Santa, but when Ocean draws a certain name he's unsure what to get that troll, leaving him to turn to Branch, Journey, Phoenix, and Adventure for help. On top of all that Poppy and Branch have big news for their twins, but their unsure of how Forest and Sapphire will handle it.
