Izuku didn't know how long he was held. All he knew was that the heroes weren't coming anytime soon, and that there's a little girl who was trapped with him. All he knew, was that he had to get her out.
But ofcourse there's also the things he didn't know. Such as why Overhaul's studies on his DNA were important to progressing the villain's plans.
He also didn't know he had a quirk.
None of that mattered to him tonight. Somehow they're given a chance at freedom. Izuku knew what he had to do.
They escape tonight...

He was in the hands of Overhall and it didn't stop him from thinking that Kai wasn't a bad person. There was always a reason for everything and so there must be a reason for why he was so obsessed with quirk elimination too. Being the person he is, Izuku still tries to find a way to save Eri. If he had to choose between saving himself and Eri, then he would go for Eri of course. He would make it happen somehow even if it means suffering on his own.
