Sixth year of Hogwarts was proven to be difficult. Between hard classes and serious career path choosing, education itself would be challenging and stressful. That's without considering the social aspect of it all.
At this point, Elaine Levitt has managed to have that part of her life figured out. She has great friends and a family she's chosen to stay away from, nice teachers and a past relationship she likes to leave behind.
Her life is turned upside down when she meets Remus Lupin, her new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.
