Drowning.
I remember feeling like I was drowning. Water filled my lungs lighting them on fire. My limbs felt heavy like I was moving in slow motion almost like I was in quick sand. My body ached, my lungs hurt, my head pounded. And then, nothing.

When you awoke you ran around in a panic, threatening anyone who came within twenty feet of you, until you saw him. "Is she breathing?" a male voice asked. It didn't sound familiar at all, so it was probably a police officer or medic. Then again, nothing sounded familiar right now. I could hear screaming and crying all around me. I felt soaking wet and hot at the same time, which I didn't think was possible and I could feel someone gently shaking me. "Uggggnnnnnmmm," I groaned. "She's alive! Come on kid, wake up," another man exclaimed. "Nooooooooooo," I groaned again. I felt so tired, I just wanted to go back to sleep, but whoever was shaking me wouldn't stop. My eyes slowly opened, squinting at the bright lights that were shining all around me. Two men were hovering over me and they weren't who I thought they would be.Concluida

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.Concluida

To say that the Gladers were extremely confused once they realized who was sent up in the lift this time, was a complete exaggeration. The gladers disregarded any suspicions with your arrival, as they thought you were just another mouth to feed. After all, YOU were only the 2nd girl to be delivered into the Glade. Much like everyone else, you were just as confused and lost. With no memory before waking up in that box, the only clue to all this chaos was a vague writing in your arm, no knowledge who wrote it and what it exactly meant. In this seemingly hopeless place, will your arrival make a difference? Or will you just make things even worse? [NEWTXREADER] -currently editing the entire fic as of 2022 since I have plans on changing into Newt x OC.
