Orella grew up in a nameless village so obscure, so far in the highlands that it could barely be considered a part of her country. Interesting events are scarce, and with little to do and less to advise against, the village has but one accepted rule: Never go into the Greenwood. No one who's gone in has ever come out. But Orella watched it every night growing up, curious and imaginative. And one fateful night when she was very young, alone and amazed, she witnessed the creatures that were inside it, and the encounter changes her permanently. The next day she wakes up with impossible grace, and a step as quiet as a butterfly's wingbeat. After garnering unwanted popularity as a result, ten years later she's apprenticing for a grumpy healer and still hasn't left her village or seen the world. Things are simple, and she's satisfied with the life she has as the one interesting thing in fifty leagues. But her older sister, Valera, has other ideas. When mysterious travelers come into town with a goal in mind more ludicrously dangerous than anything the village has ever seen before, Valera is determined to join them. And she's set on getting her less than enthusiastic sister to come with her. (YA Fantasy; Upgrades will be sporadic, with no set schedule)
