It's Christmastime (or Yule as the Shirefolk call it), and all is merry and bright in the Shire. Frodo and Bilbo want to invite their friends from outside of the Shire to celebrate this holiday, so there's quite an interesting mix of characters in this story. This story includes characters from my other story, "Waiting on You", and is just a fun holiday story that I decided to write. Hope you enjoy, and Happy Yule to everyone! ;) (And yes, Gollum/Smeagol is in this because I thought it would make things more entertaining).All Rights Reserved

My fan fic "A Christmas Carol Reimagined" is the tale of a miserly middle aged man--a friend to no one--who is scared into realizing the folly of his ways when he is visited by three ghosts (past, present, and future). He then vows to be compassionate toward his fellow man and through his good deeds, he redeems himself--and he comes to know the meaning of love. My story here is my "mash up" of "A Christmas Carol" (original story by Charles Dickens) with Elizabeth Gaskell's "North & South", JRR Tolkien's (via Sir Peter Jackson's films of) "The Hobbit", and is set in the 1850's.
