This is a fictional sci-fi story written as practice for a much larger project I have already begun. All feedback is welcomed and appreciated as this story only focuses on one character. Others may be written, but this one is so I can build foundational skills on writing meaningful dialogue, symbolism, good scenarios, and learn to drive a plot forward without too much filler. An introverted girl becomes a useful figure in the ongoing chaos that dominates the sense of reason. She does not believe in love at all due to her personally acclaimed beliefs of its futility. She leads a double life in the sense that she has a split personality that she can summon while she stays within the conscious minds of certain distrusting individuals. She can control them however she likes and however she pleases but their actions are made to become morally righteous. This experience has become a milestone of impacting a miraculous effect unto those she controls. Whoever she chooses to possess becomes an entirely different person if she wills it. A personal dilemma she has within herself frustrates her but with her true friends, she has come a long way. However, she meets a familiar boy so different and so opposite of her character. Will she still decide to change him of her own volition? Or accept him just the way he is?

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole.
