It started as a dream, something to escape our realities. But somewhere along those lines, they started to become more detailed and vivid. Like they were memories I've never experienced before. They always featured the same person under different names. Although I could never remember his face, I knew it was him.
We would talk for hours on end about absolutely nothing, and I'd relished in it. But the dreams always ended the same. it would just stop, without any warning, and I would be surrounded in darkness, all alone. I'd feel so sad over a person I've never met. I'd long to be enveloped in his company and spend my last moments in his arms.
Our story started a long time ago, but I can only remember them in fragments.

The Summer I Felt Pretty.
Alex.. That's all I remembered that summer night 3 years ago.. It was my 19th birthday and I was celebrating at the beach house, like we always did. Together. This summer was different. He sent a spark in me. It was the first and only summer, I felt pretty inside AND out. Until I saw him.. 10 feet away from me. A beautiful woman attached to his hip, arm around her and PREGNANT. My world crashes around me and I can't breathe.
