In his dynamic new devotional, DEEP RIVER: A NEGRO SPIRITUAL DEVOTIONAL, speaker and author Sherman Cox provides a morning jolt for your life from the Negro Spirituals. These lessons are short, practical, and applicable to daily life. The slaves lived their lives with their back against the wall, but they chose to sing of a better world. This singing helped them keep their mind and propelled them forward to seize the day. In this devotional Elder Cox derives power from these same songs. Using this devotional, readers will stand on the shoulders of giants as you learn to live powerfully even when things do not go the way you desired.

As sad as it may be, we live in a world where the rich are getting richer, and the poor live in worse conditions every day. A world where people have to live behind masks and hide who they truly are, just to be accepted into this corrupted society. A world where everyone primarily thinks of himself and not about what he could to help his brother in need? Dive into my vision, be bold enough to read these chapters, and accept that you may have also been committing these mistakes that corrupt our society and together, let us grow into better versions of ourselves and begin to wonder; what if this had happened to me? How would I have reacted? What can I do to change my community? What if I decide to manifest my dreams every day instead of wishing they would happen? Every single part of this will be entirely unique but all interconnected by one subject, "the human nature". Only together can we change the world, don't be so lazy to think that it is the government's job to do so; take your responsibilities and act to see a change.
