Thoughts hold an abundance of power. They are the sustenance of motivation and creativity, continually journeying through the pathways of the mind. Thoughts also generate madness, constantly divulging your haunting secrets in an infinite cycle of mental torment. They bring emotions and memories, both agonizing and joyous. In this short story, the main character's thoughts declare war against his ingenious mind by racing in and terrorizing his fragile mental state. He has encountered no other being with such a harrowing disease, and diagnoses himself by naming it "Sherlock Syndrome," after the clever yet tormented character Sherlock Holmes. The only question that remains is whether he can withstand such a scourge of insanity.
