Moose Jaw Saskatchewan; not quite a small town, not quite a city. It's something in-between with elements of both, and to Anna Crawford, it's perfect just the way it is. Anna was born and raised with the wind at her back on a hobby farm in Caronport, a 20 minute drive outside of town. A free range only child and full-blown country girl, she knows no life apart from her forests, animals, and flower fields, where her independent and free-spirited self can use her wild imagination to her heart's content. Grade 10 was a breeze. Next up is summer vacation, and then it's on to grade 11... ... or is it? Anna's nearly perfect grades throughout middle and high school have earned her a difficult choice; remain in her current class, or start fresh with an entirely new one by skipping a grade and joining grade 12 to match her current academic level. Opting for the latter, she prepares herself for the new beginning she's about to face, and the new classmates she's about to meet. The first experience she'll have with this new group of people, as she finds out, is a trip with her biology class; a three week expenses-paid trip to Vancouver BC, to be exact. Anna has never seen the ocean, nor has she ever been on a plane before, but she's determined to fit in and make a place for herself. Julien Bennett grew up in Sunningdale in northern Moose Jaw and hopes to one day become a marine biologist. Hearing news of this trip has made him ecstatic and he's beyond excited to finish high school off strong - that is, until the unfamiliar 15 year old next to him on the plane needs help coming down from a panic attack. What will this mean for the rest of the trip exploring one of the biggest cities in Canada?

❝ I should've listened to my heart. No matter how hard I've tried to push you away, everything leads back to you. My thoughts, the way my heart flutters rapidly and the emotions I feel when you're around. Everything. What I'm trying to say is...I choose you. ❞ ***** Sophie Wilkins is the shy, nerdy girl that no one really notices in the back of the class. She only talks to one person at Oakleaf High, her best and only friend, Bree Laurel. On one of the last nights of summer break, Sophie is forced to go to a high school party by Bree. She thinks this is just another one of many awful high school parties that's hosted by one of the football jocks at her school, but this party doesn't turn out to be "another typical high school party." While at the party, she catches the eyes of Andrew Dalton, the high school quarterback and most notorious player. Andrew, who's never lost, is dared to make Sophie fall in love with him, but there's one problem. Sophie has promised herself that she will never date any of the guys at Oakleaf High because they all have arrogant personalities that she just can't handle. Although she's successfully managed to keep a low profile her entire high school life, she suddenly starts to find herself constantly being brought into situations with Andrew. Will Sophie be able to keep the promise she made to herself? Or will she fall for the player's charms? Will Andrew be able to win the heart of Sophie Wilkins without giving Sophie his?
