Aperture Science. A facility that create the best pokemon for battle by fusing them with other parts and gadgets. However, it is more of a prison that a lab. Test subjects are kept in cells during the night as the testing tracks and wards are cleaned by the cores. It is normally not a pretty sight. Fighting is routine here, and failed test subjects are disposed of pronto. The cores, however, are a different group. They are injured pokemon gravely wounded after battle that have been modified to keep the facility in shape. When one of these cores take a liking to a test subject, anything can happen. Perhaps a subject will even pass the tests. After all, nobody has yet.

Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY! Obviously. Ozpin and Salem have been battling each other for countless centuries. During that time, all kinds of Grimm have come and gone. Except one Grimm who dons a white bird beak mask/face and black shroud and a black wide-brimmed hat. The last Reaper has lived for eons, watching his species slowly die out and be forgotten by the general public. He was just about content on being alone until he met Summer Rose. Now he tries to fulfill a promise to protect Summer's daughter Ruby by any means he can. Subject 3281; Chell's Story
Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!Abgeschlossene Geschichte

Here lies the remnants of hidden experiments carried out many years ago by individuals unknown, including their magnum opus; an interdimensional portal to the world of Bestiaterra. However, those responsible for building it are nowhere to be found, and the hotel was burned to the ground. However, under the ancient, charred husk of the remains, the portal still waits for someone to find it, and be brave enough to step through... Which is exactly what one young student does.
