Left alone to drift along the waters surface.
A boy with bright blond hair drifted past the unconscious body of his raven haired friend.
At the top of a nearby cliff, his sensei and long time childhood crush watched him drift away uncaring for his well being.
They drop and pick up the raven haired boy and turned to leave without glancing back at their friend, teammate, and student.
The boy's name is Uzumaki Naruto. He has always been alone, he had always believed in the will of fire no matter how he was treated, but for the first time in his life he started to question this belief.
The first of many small gusts of a dark and cold wind brushed against the dying flame. It flickered and dimmed, but did not grow any brighter.
