Aurora Lovegood thought she couldn't love let alone trust anyone ever again after losing her now, ex boyfriend, fred Weasley during the war. A war where many life's were lost and my families and friends were left broken. Aurora being one of them. 

She didn't want to meet someone knew-she couldn't bare the thought of her thinking about someone else the way she thought about Fred.
