"quicker and easier than falling asleep"
Regulus Arcturus Black, born in 1961 and died in 1979. He was the younger brother of Sirius, son of Orion and Walburga Black. He went to Hogwarts in 1972 and sorted into the Slytherin house. He joined Voldemort death eaters at sixteen. He defected from the death eaters and attempted to destroy the Slytherin locket which was a Horcrux that was behind Voldemort immortality but failed. He died in that cave in 1979 at 18 years old.
When you die, you tend to look back on your life. The good memories, the bad, and the regrets that you have had. It is said dying is quicker and easier than falling asleep. Regulus looked back on his time living as he died. It is easier than falling asleep but it is not quicker.
