The doorbell rang, pulling me from my trance. I strolled through the living to the front door, still holding the mug of coffee in my hands. I peeped through the peephole and saw a young boy standing innocently outside. He seemed to be somewhat six years old and so I didn't hesitate in opening the door since the weather was gradually getting colder these days. I was already expecting snow.
He was shivering from his head to his toes and looked at me with wide piercing blue eyes.
"Who's at the door?" I heard Maddie's voice nearing as she came closer to me. Who was at the door? That was a good question.

I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't run any further. My aching paws pounded against the hard ground of the forest as I ran further and further from my packs territory.
