Mature
Between the rumor of the return of the dementors, the constant prickling of the mark on his arm, and the introduction of a whole new group of enemies, Draco Malfoy has quite enough to deal with this redo year (the teachers felt it only fair since the previous year had been so horrendous) at Hogwarts. But as his feelings for the boy with the lightning scar grow, he finds himself thrown into a whirlpool of which is nearly impossible for him to escape. How can he possibly begin to tackle school, identity, and the unmistakeable return of one of the darkest wizards "alive"? And where will it all leave his relationship with the Boy Who Lived?

One year has passed since the Battle of Hogwarts, when the Boy Who Lived finally defeated Lord Voldemort. Alethea Thornevale, recent Ravenclaw graduate and close friend of Luna Lovegood, is eager to begin her next chapter at the Hogwarts University for Magical Professions - a possible career path for after graduating from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There, young witches and wizards are trained for their futures - as Aurors, ministry officials, curse-breakers, or, in Alethea's case, a healer at St. Mungo's. But while Alethea tries to move forward, shadows of her past threaten to catch up with her. Draco Malfoy, released from rehabilitation at St. Mungo's, has returned to his studies changed - withdrawn, haunted, and marked both inside and out. The Dark Mark may be invisible, but it still chains him to a war he never truly chose. He wants no pity, no forgiveness... only peace. When fate brings Alethea and Draco into the same circle, animosity turns into uneasy alliance, then into something far more dangerous: yearning, trust, and the possibility of love. But healing requires compassion - and forgiveness doesn't come without a cost. An enemies-to-lovers Draco Malfoy fanfiction about grief and redemption. ______________________________________________________________ All rights to the Harry Potter universe and its characters belong to J.K. Rowling. I only own my original characters and plot additions. This story is a fanfiction and written purely for fun.
