Mal Malarkey never knew another family member. Being an orphan for as long as she can remember didn't really give her that option. Living in New Orleans by yourself was already difficult alone, but add on being a vampire who can also siphon magic from herself, made everything twice as hard. Because of her magical abilities she was always being chased. To protect herself, Mal used a different name. To her coworkers and friends, she was known as Addison Lane. Addison was a simple girl. She liked to listen to classical music, drinking a hot up of coffee, with a good romance novel in hand. Until one day Addison's life was uprooted by a new customer. 

Uncovering the truth leads Mal to a special school, made for people just like her. Will her new so called friends help her discover what lies in her future and what happened in her past, or will they bury her alive with more and more secrets?
