Wilbur Soot had recurring dreams as a child, ones that would always wake him from his sleep. He dreamed of a nation, a beautiful, wonderful nation. He dreamed of a flag, flying and burning.

He dreamed of his father, and him, alone in stone ruins, a sword between them and a pressed button beneath his fingers.
