Anavrin Stone's life was completely flipped upside down as she found herself on a Greyhound headed straight for a town that is full of secrets dating back to the beginning of time. The biggest secret however, is Anavrin's very own story. This deep secret that will greatly impact the girls' new life in more ways than imaginable, holds a complete new identity and no recollection of her past. She has no memories, no family, no friends and absolutely no answers what so ever.

The only thing she knows for sure, is that she was sent to Mystic Falls to restart her life as an ordinary teen. A teen with a pen pal demanding updates on the truth she's been left to unravel. Her only will to comply is the exchange of small tidbits of information of her old life and true self before any of this ever happened to her. But even as she struggles to adjust to this big change of scenery, other things far more worrisome begin to plague her.

As she's forced to jump into this mysterious friend group, who seem to be at the center of all of the chaos and mystery the town holds and though its messy they start to grow on her. Her moral compass is telling her to go one way, whilst the mysterious pen pal has his or her hooks deeply rooted in Anavrin's back. She wants more than anything to protect her newfound friends, family and even love interests, but at what cost? How do you undermine the very person who sent you to meet the people you've come to love and cherish when they seem to have roots deeper in this town than mother earth herself? After all, this is only the beginning of her journey, her adventure, her story; about the difficult choices she needs to face, the sacrifices she must make, the truths she will learn and the love and losses she will face on the way.
