Yvonne Woods escapes with her younger brother Alex from their abusive parents. They run away into the forest behind their house, knowing almost nothing about what to do or where to go. All they know is that they have to run, and they have to run fast.

They need to find a way to survive on their own, without leaving many footprints behind. They have most of what they need materials wise, but they need more help! These two barely survived living WITH parents, let alone living without by themselves! They don't know how to take care of or cooperate with each other.

Luckily, along the way, they find a childhood friend, Faey (FAY), who had escaped her mental hospital a couple months prior. She didn't do anything wrong either, her family was extremely homophobic and when she came out as bisexual, her parents thought they could "fix her". She didn't have any special skills like these two do, but she had a pocket knife, and was good with it. Before these two found her, that's the only way she'd survived.

But Alex is stronger than most kids his age, and Yvonne can hit a moving target easily with her bow. They need to use their talents to the best of their abilities if they want to live. And that's exactly what they plan on doing.

They plan on living.
