Mature
Keiji Akaashi is an omega, he's been through hell and back with his best friend Kotaro Bokuto. The two were childhood friends, connected at the hip ever since they were both 6.

After the passing of Akaashi's mother, and his father leaving when he was young, he was living on his own since the age of 16 - not legal, and not preferable, but with a part time job as a waiter he made it work. Bokuto made everything manageable. The hyperactive, silver-haired owl always had a positive and outgoing personality that brought the best out in Akaashi. When either of them had problems, they went to the other; Akaashi solving the small episodes Bokuto had during volleyball matches when he made a mistake during a play, but also the others outside of the court.

When Bokuto left for college, things changed, slowly. The alpha gradually started fading away from the omega, and their communication started to become minimal day by day. That would change once Akaashi gets accepted into the same college.
