Ashanti Moore took a year away to sort through the storms in her mind. Living with schizophrenia, she's trying to find peace amid the chaos and make her mark in the tough world of fashion. At Magnolia university a Historically Black College, she meets Venus Leath the basketball star everyone's talking about. He's crushing it on the court but falling apart under the pressure of the NBA draft. When Venus asks for her help to fix his image, she sees a chance to get the connections she needs to climb higher. As they work together, their friendship starts to grow into something messy and real a quiet kind of love born from all their struggles. Now Ashanti has to figure out if she's ready to open her heart and accept herself, with someone who truly gets her by her side.
