Deep-diving into the culprits of my self-deprecation, "Discount Shakespeare" showcases all 50 of my poems, originally posted on Twitter, which I had written from my high school years to this day (whenever this gets published, I guess).

Faultless
Having a best friend since childhood to do everything with and be inseparable from is the greatest feeling in the world. That is until one randomly cuts off the other and moves away, ending all contact and hope for an explanation. Alex Pierce is a college student just trying to get through life as stress-free as possible. After just getting out of a two-year-long relationship, all he wants to do is move on from the past, something he struggles to do. Despite how desperate he is to be carefree, he is constantly juggling other obligations and responsibilities and he's just trying to keep his head above the water. River Moore is your all-star athlete. After switching schools and accepting a starting position on the basketball team, he wants to continue his college athlete lifestyle and live his life to the fullest. After a traumatic experience a year prior, he likes to focus on the future. Spontaneous has always been his personality since he was young. When Alex and River are reunited six years after their unbreakable friendship dies, Alex thinks he will finally get the answers to his long-awaited questions. Being a teenager is tough, and that's before you factor in the boys, jealous exes and developmental issues. -------------------------------------- "Hello? Who is this?" I asked. Silence replied my question. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I was about to hang up but then a quiet whisper came through the other end of the line. "Stay away from him." "What? who? Who is this?" Fear started to creep into my voice. "Just stay away, I don't want to have to do something drastic." Their voice was cold, sending shivers down my spine. "Who is this? Who do you want me to stay away from?" The other end was silent. "Hello?" I heard two consecutive beeps then looked at my phone; the call had disappeared, almost as if it had never happened. -------------------------------------- Mei has wished she was normal all her life. Getting bullied as a kid, mocked for falling over all the time, has left her trying to avoid as much sport as possible. Although, despite being dyspraxic, she still couldn't escape PE lessons, even when she got to Sixth Form. One PE lesson, she falls over in front of her crush and he offers to teach her to kayak. She has mixed feelings about participating in a sport after loathing them so much. Mei soon realises there's more to worry about than being clumsy, though, when her crush's ex brings herself into the scene.Complete

John is a.. normal kid. Kind of. {So I choose to think.} And he thinks a lot. Like... a *lot*. About the world. About people. About things that {probably don't matter} but feel like they do. And he has this voice in his head. [He calls me Spark.] {I might know what you're thinking}, but Spark isn't evil or creepy or anything. He's just... me, albeit slightly louder, slightly weirder, and way more honest. They've always talked to each other. For as long as they can remember. [It's normal. Probably.] Until Spark starts doing things John doesn't remember doing - like catching a dodgeball with zero reaction time. Now he has questions. Not just about Spark, but about himself. And about a stranger stranger than him that [keeps. popping. up.] No matter where he goes. This isn't a story about going crazy. It's about trust, [weird brain conversations], and {quiet}.
