Knowing the meaning to lyrics of a song is so powerful. It gives it depth, meaning, and empowerment. Tear by the Chili Peppers was a meaningful song to me, I not only knew the meaning but felt it. A daily ritual, a habit, a well known addiction.. Self harm.. Tearing my skin open felt like home, It gave me power, I let everything; all my emotions out in one single tear. Depression is hard to deal with, all the time. No matter who or what the circumstances, it's hard. Lots of people have different ways of expressing it; Penny hides in the shadows. Penny has trust issues, and cannot rely on anyone other than herself. It's better to get the job done yourself, right? Craig doesn't believe in that; he thinks everyone should have someone to rely on- someone to trust.
