What happens when one of the last freakshows comes to your town? Not only is it a grotesque event viewed for pleasure at a circus but one that harbors secrets and hidden evils behind the curtains. Scarlett didn't know what to think when she heard about the circus coming to her town; her town was small, rarely anything visited it. She never expected to be ripped from her life and forced into their society of freaks, struggling to keep their business. Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated. In one of the mirrors, they catch a glimpse of something horrifying-a sinister clown with black, soulless eyes, razor-sharp teeth dripping with blood, and wild, dark blue hair that seems to move on its own. Before they can react, the lights flicker and then plunge them into darkness. When the lights come back on, the friends find themselves alone. The once-bustling carnival is now eerily silent and deserted. As they try to find their way out, they realize that the carnival is not just abandoned-it's a trap. The twisted clown is more than just a reflection; he's real, and he's hunting them. The mirrors were just the beginning of his deadly game, and now, there's no escape. The Killer Clown Circus is no ordinary carnival; it is a twisted nightmare masquerading as a place of wonder. The air smells faintly of burnt sugar and decay, and the colors of the striped tents seem unnaturally vibrant, almost pulsing as if alive. The attractions are eerie distortions of normal carnival rides, each seemingly designed to unnerve or endanger anyone foolish enough to try them. The performers are grotesque clowns with painted-on smiles that never fade, their eyes cold and calculating. Their movements are unsettlingly precise, their laughter hollow and mocking. Every corner of the circus feels imbued with malice, as if it's watching, waiting for its next victim. At the center stands the Big Top, the heart of the madness, ruled by the enigmatic and malevolent Ringmaster. His booming voice and theatrical gestures hide a mind bent on manipulation and chaos. The circus itself seems alive, its layout shifting to trap those who enter, with no clear exit in sight. For anyone who dares to enter, the Killer Clown Circus offers only one promise: you'll never leave the same-if you leave at all.

For years, people have been reporting creepy carnival music coming from the woods and the teens want to see if they can get some answers to what is really happening. They are not expecting anything to happen, but are shocked when they come across a house deep into the woods, and inside are carnival themed rooms. From endless hallways and stairways leading no where, the teens are stuck and cannot get out. Will the teens ever escape, or will they be forced to stay in Carnival House forever? *i don't own image on cover*

In my world you have to be one of the Elite. After graduating from 8th grade it is a shitshow. You wait long intense nights filled with fear because you know one day they will come for you. They will get you mark my words on that. One day you will be ripped away from the comforts of your own home and shipped away to the cruise. None of the adults speak of what happens on the cruise. I can tell based off of the haunted look in there eyes it's nothing good. I've heard tall tales of a place full of hopes and dreams. They call this place High school. High school is just that though...a dream. In the real world all we have is the cruise. The cruise where some never return from. In my world it is survival of the fittest. This is my Entry for the Open Novella Contest III. This goes with the writing prompt #53. This is the direction I chose to take it. Hope you all enjoy.
