Katarina Elizabeth Ryan, a self confessed heart breaker, lover of doughnuts and a worshipper of felines is about to have the strangest year of her life. College, the experience she's been looking forward to her whole life, is beckoning and with that is the promise of new friends, gorgeous boys and insane parties. So to ensure her first year of College is everything she's ever wanted she swears off dating.
As expected her no dating rule is an invitation for disaster and all too quickly her limits are being tested with Isaac Healy creeping into her life and heart. He wants more than she can give. But Katarina is strong, she is determined not to break the heart of an innocent. Don't break hearts, break your own is her one and only rule for this year. Everything else is to be explored and then explored again. Including James Kitcher the boy in her English class with great hair, whom she starts a casual love affair with and who might just ruin everything. With Isaac watching from the sidelines Katarina beings to question the one rule she's set for herself.
