Atlantica, a kingdom of submerged wonders, thrives in the delicate balance of ancient laws and legends whispered through the waves. Ursula, eldest daughter of Iris and Thalassius, sovereigns of the oceans, embodies the ideal of what a mermaid should be: mesmerizing beauty, unstoppable power, and an unyielding will. Beside her stand her siblings: Triton, calculating and wise, and Nerion, the youngest and most idealistic, still unaware of the shadows that haunt the sea.
But perfection is fragile, and fate knows no mercy. A cataclysmic event, steeped in deceit and betrayal, drags Ursula from the heights of honor to the depths of disgrace. Accused of destroying innocent lives, she is abandoned and condemned by those she loved most. Cast out of Atlantica, the only world she has ever known, Ursula begins to transform under the crushing weight of hatred and sorrow. What was once a legendary mermaid becomes a creature feared and misunderstood, a being the sea itself seems to disown.
