It was dusk
Not quite dark yet, but close
Misty fog swirled around
As I walked through the park that day
The sun was out, but not quite
Kinda a dim, warm kind of light
And there she walked, just a strut ahead
A lovely blue scarf around her delicate head
I walked beside her, she gave a small smile
We walked around the park awhile
She was beautiful, inside and out
And them there was me,
Short and stout
But she seemed to not mind
And so we walked on
It seemed we walked from dusk until dawn
Then time didn't stop, it went on and on
'Till wedding bells rang in the bright morning dawn
And there she stood again, pretty as ever
Ready to marry little old me
What could be better?
The clock kept on ticking
Time flew by fast
It seemed not even a day had passed
When I held a tiny bundle in my arms
Cooing softly, bursting with charm
Then another, a little girl this time
Daddy's little princess would be her favorite line
She looked like her mother, thin, trim and fair
Putting poetry and prose on a glasses,
A time passes,
The scar built gashes,
a sake of my health drew ashes,
This poetry talks about the glasses, and my Cancer journey.
