You, Carol, and Abby are childhood friends that had lost touch for a while only to be reunited, but things have changed.

It is the same time period as the book/movie (1950s), the characters are Carol and Abby before Therese, but Harge is not Carol's husband. He's in it, just not as her husband. Also Richard is in it, but no relation to Therese, I'm just using some of his character attributes.

This is a look into the past and the present.

They were inseparable once, two halves of the same tide, until life pulled her inland and left him to weather the storm alone. Years later, she's back on the island that made her. The same beaches, the same salt in the air - but the boy she left behind isn't the same. He's older now. Harder. A little more broken. Rebuilding what they had isn't easy. The Pogues have scars she doesn't understand, and John B's walls are higher than ever. But every glance feels like a memory, and every moment threatens to pull them under again. Because some things don't fade with distance - they wait, patient as the tide, for you to come home. 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑽𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒔 is a story of coming home, growing up, and finding the courage to love someone you thought you'd lost. A tender, nostalgic reimagining of Outer Banks through memory, healing, and the kind of love that lingers like salt on your skin. childhood friends to lovers | summer nostalgia | emotional tension | found family | "you never stopped being my home" #1 in Nostalgiclove #1 in BeachRomance #1 in CostalRomance
