"Listen, 𝘒𝘪𝘮 𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘫𝘰𝘰𝘯, I usually work alone and didn't plan on working with anyone on this project, especially the shy kid, but I still got stuck with you so just go get the supplies." I pinch the bridge of my nose and shut my eyes while leaning my elbow against his car's inside window ledge.

He scoffs and turns away, "Right." The driver's side door opens and slams shut as the new student walks into the store and I cross my arms, relaxing for the meantime.

Ten minutes later I jump at a sudden loud sound, the ricochet of bullets and the bang from guns making me jump up and out of the car in a panic.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵? 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴!

I cautiously check my surroundings and then run inside, hoping to find him unharmed. Running through aisles of smokey air, the fire alarm blares threateningly and more gunshots make me crouch down for safety. Water from the fire extinguishing sprinklers overhead wets my hair and clothes as I cough, feeling my eyes begin to sting from the smoke but that's when I see his back facing towards me, standing only an aisle away.

I run for him and immediately turn him around by his broad shoulders, checking for injuries while shouting through the screams of pedestrians, "What the fuck happened? Are you okay?" I shakily look him over, worry and fear etched on my face.

My body halts at the sight of a gun in his right hand and he pockets it quickly, "You... did this?" I feel my breath get knocked out of my chest.

He pockets a second Glock 19M that was in his other hand and grips my forearm harshly, "There's no time to explain- they've found me. You've seen too much so you're my accomplice now." He drags my terrified smaller form through the smoke and out to his black '77 Mach 1 Mustang.
