Life is such a roller coaster, and our efforts almost always end up in vain. We try perfection, yet it never works, adaptation too, it only gets worse. "Take the small one, she isn't human." Another officer came over and started to take her from my arms. She let go in shock but I grabbed her arm and I tugged back but I didn't want to hurt her. "No!" I yelled ...................... "Katerina!" She yelled "Anna!" I screamed I screamed her name as I woke up covered in sweat, I was panting and out of breath. I sat up and looked all around me. My room was dark and all that was on was my radio. I had this dream almost every night since I was taken away from Anna. This dream was real, it did happen. As you know now I am not fully human, I was not created a normal way. I was created and I am a monster...... Katerina (Kat) isn't normal but only she knows that. After she was taken away she decided to live her foster life as a shadow but sadly that doesn't work as she bounces from foster family to foster family, from school to school, and from town to town. She is constantly expelled from schools and gets into fights. After a while everything gets the best of her. After moving with a new foster family and she goes to a new school, she realizes that maybe she is not alone. I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
