BITTER ARE THE WARS BETWEEN BROTHERS, and damaged is the sister caught between them. Cassiopeia Black was many things - the sister of boys who've forgotten her, a quidditch captain, a fierce fighter. But, above all, she was a Black and that came before everything else. The infamous House of Black is intricate and dangerous - hate has always been more common than love. But that all changed between the Black kids. Sirius, Cassiopeia and Regulus broke the cycle of hostility in their family as they grew up. At least, that's what Cassy thought until her older brother Sirius and her twin Regulus started shutting her out. On top of her family difficulties, Cassy is still a teenager and she must also manage the everyday pressures of being a student at Hogwarts: leading her Quidditch team to victory, maintaining her grades, and sifting through complicated emotions and friendships. However, for many years now a war has been brewing and as it reaches its peak, Cassy needs to decide between doing the right thing and doing the thing that keeps her brothers alive. Loyalty is a double-edged sword because, at the end of the day, the real side she's on is her own.
