This is a pregame au, danganronpa is just an anime and is not real like it is in the actual game

This story is not cannon, it's just a fanfic made by me

Shuichi and Kokichi have my personal head cannon personalities for their pregame selves

Shuichi Saihara is an outcast who spends a lot of time and money on his favorite anime, danganronpa, the only exception being school, his classmates try to talk to him but he isn't really interested in other people, that is until a new classmate arrives, Shuichi expected him to be annoying, but this boy seemed to leave him alone, which for some reason Shuichi found himself upset about, so for the first time for as long as he can remember, he tries to make a friend, but he still wants more. When he sees Kokichi being bullied, Shuichi realizes he will hurt someone who hurts Kokichi or tries to take him away, he might even go as far as killing them

Kokichi Oma always wanted friends and to be loved, both platonically and romantically, so when he goes to a new school he hopes to find people who are willing to be friends with him, only hoping they won't be anything like the people at his old school, or his parents for that matter, so when Shuichi greets himself and invites him to lunch, to everyone's surprise, including Shuichi himself, Kokichi had this sudden need to be friends- no, definitely more then that with this boy, and the more and more Shuichi is the first person to be nice to him, the more and more he would kill someone to be sure Shuichi loved him back
