A double frame story where a poor family each experienced an odd day. They tell each other about what had happended around a table late at night, with only one candle light.
If you are ready to read, just beware, this is not a fairy tale that begins once upon a time, and it certainly will not end with happily ever after.

Everyone is destined to play out a role in a tale, a random magical story which is decided for you by the "Tale-Master". For as long as she can remember Dawn has wanted to be the princess, her sister Luna doesn't care what she becomes, as long as she isn't the centre of attention. Unfortunately, things go awry when Luna becomes the princess and Dawn is forced to be a common peasant, much to her disgust. Both girls end up running away from their roles.
