Katniss Everdeen is nothing but shattered after her traumatizing past years of life. She forces herself to believe she needs a dandelion in the spring. The one who can mend everything and remind her that things will get better. She tells herself Peeta is perfect for her. Peeta, who has spent what feels like a lifetime putting piece after piece of his life together after it was destroyed by the now extinct Capitol, thinks Katniss is the match for him. However, there's one man who Katniss can't erase from her mind. The fire that she wants in her life deep down. Gale Hawthorne. Gale was once everything to her, but has disappeared from her life now. That is until he comes back, wanting to be that "everything" in her life once more. Will Katniss question the love for Peeta she made herself feel? Will she change her mind on her false decision? And though she's forgiven Gale, how could she ever forget the life changing incident that happened between them which haunts her endlessly?

Panem High [the hunger games; completed, unedited]
"I think, erm, well, I think that I love you." he replied nervously, unsure of how she was going to take this revelation. "I think that I love you as well." she stated awkwardly as she had never been in this position before, especially since she had never really had any need to actually admit her love for anyone. ** Peeta Mellark is the new kid in school. Katniss Everdeen is the smart, popular girl that everyone wishes they were. Gale Hawthorne, not only her best friend, but also her on-off boyfriend that every girl loves and wants to be with. Gale: A Hunger Games Story
"And Gale. I know him. He won't be shouting and cheering. But he'll be watching, every moment, every twist and turn, and willing me to come home." - Katniss Everdeen, The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen is fighting for her life in the 74th Annual Hunger Games. We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. Please do not attempt to recreate it in any form. Additionally, if ideas in this work are similar to that of other writings, it is purely coincidental and I apologize deeply for any inconvenience. Please comment if you enjoy! Happy reading!!!Complete
After Mockingjay: Gale Hawthorne
" Goodbye Gale.", Katniss's voice was harsh. Cold. He'd never heard her speak like this, not to him. Something inside him shattered. Deep in his roots years of friendship erased, all because of him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katniss and Peeta Mellark are as happy as they could be considering what they've gone through. They have a young daughter Prim and a baby son, Finnick. Gale is miserable. life in District 2 isn't that bad. but his mental health is. Everyday guilt eats away at him. guilt of the people he couldn't save. Of people he thinks he killed. Guilt of precious friendships he's broken. He's run away from his past, which is the only thing that keeps him going. But one day it comes and knocks on his door and he's forced to redeem it as much as he can. this is the story of his downward spiral, redemption and attempts to fix his mistakes. AUTHOR'S NOTE: pretty much all of this story is from Gale's perspective. and it doesn't have a Gale x Katniss relationship, just friendship. I think that the end of Gale's story was unfulfilling. Also, my version of Gale in this book is depressed and kinda has ptsd. and lastly it gets pretty dark so you've been warned.Complete
Hijacked (An Everlark Fanfic) (Plot twist/After Mockingjay story)
This story is based off a mini plot twist, but otherwise this is just an After Mockingjay story. The plot twist is basically that Katniss didn't kiss Peeta when they were in the Capitol during the Rebellion, and how it would effect Peeta's recovering, since that is obviously taking it a step back. --- Katniss is broken, tortured, and she has lost almost everyone she ever took a second to care about. Almost. Peeta is still alive, but also still hijacked. Will Katniss find a way to cure Peeta, and get him to come back to her? And how does their future, after the Rebellion, look? (The first 16 chapters has been re-written, because I accidentally deleted the story oops)Complete
Real or Not Real
Peeta's and Katniss' life after the uprising. Do they get their happily ever after? *** "You don't see it do you?" He pauses and brushes some of my hair over my shoulder, "You really are the most beautiful woman i have ever seen." He says it so softly that I barely hear him. I find my breath getting stuck in my throat as I stare up at him, his eyes so full of love and yearning. I don't think anyone has ever looked at me like that, like I was everything. *Everlark**Complete* *Mature*Complete
